HOUSTON: The Seattle health department said on Friday that two immuno-suppressed patients being treated for A (H1N1) flu had been identified as resistant to Tamiflu, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.

One case involved a male teenager with leukaemia who received a stem cell transplant in early May, according to local health experts. While recovering in hospital in a single room he contracted A(H1N1) flu, they said, adding the boy has recovered.

The second case involved a woman in her 40s, who also has leukaemia and had a stem cell transplant late last year, the health experts said. That woman remains in hospital and is being treated with an intravenous form of the only other flu drug available, Relenza, and another antiviral drug, ribavirin, they disclosed, saying the two patients have no links to each other.

Local health officials also said that there is no evidence indicating that people who came in contact with the two patients became infected with a Tamiflu-resistant virus.

Since the pandemic began, 11 cases of Tamiflu resistance have been reported. Three of those were reported Friday - two in Seattle and a new case in Hong Kong.

Japan and China have each reported three. In the case of China, one case occurred in Hunan province on the mainland and two in Hong Kong. Canada, Denmark and Singapore have each found one.

Most of these cases have occurred in people who took the drug as treatment for the flu or to prevent infection with the flu.

The sole exception so far is the case of the California teenager who travelled to Hong Kong. She had not previously taken Tamiflu, suggesting she was infected from the start with a resistant virus. The source of her infection was not found and no other cases of resistance have been reported from the San Francisco area, where she lives.

“Viruses can develop drug resistance over time. It’s important that antiviral treatments only be used as recommended by a health care provider, to minimise drug resistance and preserve an important tool against the illness for those who need it,” said Dr David Fleming, Director and Health Officer for Public Health of Seattle & King County.

“The vast majority of people with H1N1 virus continue to be treatable with Tamiflu, and in cases where it becomes ineffective, other options are available,” Dr. Fleming said. -- Bernama

He said seven individuals were referred for further check-up.

“As of Wednesday, 72,912 passengers had been screened at all international airports,” he said.

Dr Ismail said 20 thermal scanners had been installed at various entry points to expedite the screening process.

He said the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre also received 60 enquiries from the public for advice on overseas trips, treatment, vaccine and screening... ...

maybe you can try reading through other blogs and find students complaining about the coming exams because most of the population hate it ( i do not dare to say everyone.. o_o )

the good thing is, you might get less homework from the teachers if they're willing to give less BUT you'll need the time to act as a black hole, sucking in as much knowledge as possible (and hopefully it stays there for as long as possible too)

however, students are more likely to fall sick during this period of time for i don't know why because i don't study that much ._.

then if you don't study, parents will nag.. get bad results.. burn the test papers..

November 19th, 1978, Lee O** L**,(hopefully not somebody’s name in real life) also known as "LOL" was chosen as the best group leader in... what? something wrong with the date? It's 31/01/79... your calendar is lying. As i was typing... in the bingung leadership camp. Obviously, LOL was the most bingung of all.

He was a good friend of mine. His age is rather amazing as he mistaken himself for a teenager and went into high school even though he was already 65. Surprisingly, Botox did a great job. LOL had a beautiful family background. It was a portrait back then but now he has about two kids… perhaps two or three wives, that I’m not quite sure. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what schools he attended, even he doesn’t.

Now, let’s move on to the reasons why he/she was chosen. Oops sorry, he. LOL, was responsible, caring, best speaker for the one and only camp debate, voted as the most co-operative and also, bingung. I remember that there was once, he asked me where is the washroom.. when I just came out after washing my hands. Sometimes, the signs are just too confusing =(. There’s another time when we were debating over this team and he took my responsibility as the second speaker and.. speak because I had a sore throat.. and he was co-operative.. yeah.

As the best group leader, he received several awards, the best group leader award, of course and also the most bingung award. Then there’s another sheet of paper where it says “certificate of achievement” or something.. all I know was that they all ended up in the recycle bin. LOL loves saving the Earth. However, he kept the RM500. His son needed a new bicycle.

LOL is a great person. Everyone is bound to show cronyism.. and vote for him in the next National Election. The end.. what does that mean? Hmm…

A True Story

This story is based on what I've heard ( actually... remember =S ) from the very wise and handsome Wai Hong. As my memory is terribly unreliable, do refer to the great wiseman if you want to listen to the actual story =/

It started off with a lovely couple... they had a little baby boy. This small, little, tiny... not big boy was able to walk on his feet and even talk just at the age of ... 6 months... Then, he went to a kindergarten and he was able to learn all 3 languages, maths, everything and he was just too intelligent to be there. As his parents were so proud, they asked him what he wanted as a reward and he said he wanted a red skin ball [红皮球]. So the parents gave him a red skin ball just as promised.

At the age of 4, he's already studying in a primary school. Not that he couldn't catch up, but instead he got 1st in class! Yala... I noe u're used to this kind of thing edi, sounds normal rite? =.= Ok... next, as expected lo, he got 7A's in his UPSR... at the age of 7. So, his parents felt so proud and asked him what he wanted as a reward again. " Tu satu bola yang kulit merah punye dah cukup. "

After that, he moved on to secondary school loh. Got 1st in class la... PMR 8A's la... SPM 24A's break record la... ah, the usual. His parents are so amazed and almost panicing, running around in circles and then asked him what he wanted as a reward again. The son said he wanted a red skin ball and another red skin ball was given to him.

What's next? He went to college lah of course, 16 years old already mah. Got Diploma in Medicine... Degree... Masters... Phd... GOD's certificate for Medicine. Parents suffered from several heart attacks but still survived, cuz he's the doctor ma... so the parents managed to ask him again, boy wad do yu wan us to buy for yu? " Red balls would do "

He earned his first Billion at the age of 21... which was also the 1st time he could enter a casino... nvm... However, he though that all these medicine stuff was so sien, so he decided to be an athlete! So... he began his training... after 10 very, very, very long ..... months, he was able to represent Malaysia in the Olympic Games in EVERY single event and he got gold in every single event too. Wah, this time his parents, like clowns edi. -beep-beep-boop-boop- *twists a balloon* Zai ah, u wan this? " No... I want a red skin ball =) " aiyoh, the balloon also red mah... ah nvm la

" Wah, getting gold medals could actually be so god damn BORING, might as well go and travel around the world..... eh, good idea hor =.= " and so... he went around the world in 80seconds using the plane he built by himself. With such an achievement, his parents asked him what he wanted again and they got the same answer. A red skin ball.

Unfortunately, as a godly genius, he wasn't given the chance to live long, and so he passed away, of uhh... breast cancer if I'm not mistaken... yea.... and his parents were so broken down, even the best mechanic could not fix'em.

Looking at their son's collection of red skin balls in his room, they still haven't stopped wondering WHY THE HELL won't he ask for anything dumb thing else?!@

Then, they found a piece of paper on the floor. It stated " the answer you seek, lies at the highest peak " WAH, FINALLY. THIS F****** STORY IS GONNA END@! The parents went to the highest peak of Mount Everest. They dug through a thick layer of snow and found a small chest. Inside, was another note. The note leads to another clue, which can only be found in one of the toilets in Yang di-Pertuan Agong's Palace.

They wanted to know so badly that their curiosity had almost lead them to their death sentence for breaking into the toilet. Luckily, one of the servants who was in the toilet, was only bathing. They found the clue right at the first place they spotted, the golden toilet bowl. There's a note. The servant said that it was there because ... he can't remember... ok... oh ya, the note stated that the final answer is in their very own kitchen !!!

waaaa they rushed back soooo quickly that they banged their kitchen so bad, the whole place exploded.

First off, I made this video. I do not play Call of Duty 4 or any other game. If you wonder how I got a creative beat, I play the drumset, marching snare drum, piano and electric guitar. This is some kind of cracking calculator codes...I dont really know, i got this trick from my friend. Check this out!
A-ight heres the code! Note that it must be done on Fx-500ms cal.

1. Press mode, choose a "REG", go right, choose Quad.
2. Press SHIFT and 1 to open S-SUM, choose "n"
3. Keep pressing M+ button unil it stop, there will be 2 options : "EditOFF" and "ESC"
4. Choose ESC
5. Press the up arrow, it will appears "Freq40="
6. Start pressing "30303030303030303"
*Note that u must press "3" first, not "0". keep going until u reach the end, the last number must be "3" again.
7. Press "=", it will say "Data Full" then press "=" again.
8. Press "0", and then press "1"
9. It will say "Math ERROR", press the left arrow, move the blinking cruisor RIGHT NEXT TO "0303030303"
10. Switch to "INS" mode by pressing SHIFT and DEL
11. Start deleting until there is NOTHING left on the screen.
12. Press delete (DEL) 1 more time to open another streen
13. Delete FIVE times
14. Turn off INS mode by pressing SHIFT and DEL again.
*Note these next steps are complicated and must be done correctly.
15. Input "C.P.C.P.C.P". press button nCr for "C", and press SHIFT nCr for "P"
*if u miss, go back by pressing left arrow, then go over that part, DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING.
16. Keep going until u see ".mpmpmp", not ".mp.mp.mp", then stop, hold the left arrow to go all the way back.
17. Press SHIFT DEL 8

Here's a story that you might have heard before, originally told by pn mag (although I've changed it a little here and there and here) but still you have to read it again CAUSE I'VE WASTED SO MUCH TIME TYPING IT OUT ... kidding
anyway, i guess it reflectes someone's life (not mine)

One day, no wait two days... nevermind. A guy named "Tmd", "他妈的" was in the market of a small town called "Big Town". He was shopping for you know, stuff. Then, he noticed that there was a small piece of cloth on the floor. Being so kind-hearted and curious, he picked it up and accidentally let go of the piece of cloth, picked it up again, dropped it again and finally another man helped the butterfingers to pick up that stupid piece of cloth. Then, something very unusual, exciting and strange happened, he went back home. However, an inspector just happened to witness the whole incident. Coincidently, a rich man had lost his wallet and he begged the inspector to help him find it because there were 2,000 pictures of his boyfriends inside and when his wife finds it, he'll be even worse than dead.

Anyway, the inspector (that was half blind) came to a dumb conclusion that Tmd found the rich man's wallet on the floor. Then, he decided to take action.

It was 5 am in the morning... duh, in Tmd's house and Tmd was still watching football... Suddenly, "WHAAAM" somebody slammed the door. Tmd jumped out from his couch and turned to the door. There wasn't just somebody, there were many bodies! The SWAT, NYPD, CSI, CIA and MCA were standing at his doorstep, staring at Tmd that was still half naked and holding a can of beer... and they arrested him.

Tmd's house was invaded by the SWAT, NYPD, CSI, CIA and MCA. Thousands of faces staring at him, waiting for him to answer the questions in the surveillance room. Tmd feels the pressure... heat... stress... but he didn't do anything wrong!

After having a hard time bla bla bla until one day, Tmd was released because they couldn't find anything regarding the case. FREEDOM! Walau bagaimanapun, the villagers see him as a criminal, a disgrace to the neighborhood. Tmd felt left out... almost commited suicide.

Then one day, no three days... -.- the wallet was returned the it's rightful owner! Somebody left the wallet outside the rich man's doorstep. Yay! problem solved... NOT the people still thought that Tmd was the one who lef the wallet there after he had gone through so much pain and horror and he finally gave up.

Tmd's thoughts : " WHAT THE ************************************** IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE! ALL I DID WAS WATCH FOOTBALL!!"

In the end, even when Tmd was about to take his last breath, he said to himself... " just a piece of cloth only... ruined my life "

The moral of the story : don't simply touch anything on the market floor.

Because... Anything is possible, Nothing is Impossible, Impossible is nothing, Possible is something!

- Open your eyes
- feel annoyed
- hesitate to wake up
- do toilet bussiness
- change clothes
- have breakfast
- wait for parents to get ready
- look for the car key while waiting
- parents forget to take something
- finally get into the car
- parents thinking of what else they forget to take while driving around in circles at the round-about
- remember what they've forgotten and goes back home to take it
- wait even longer...
- rush for time because wasted so much time just now
- parents drive too fast, tio saman
- police stops the car and gives the saman
- parents take out their wallets and give the policeman some money and points at you and says "he's/she's late already"
- parents continue to drive faster
- red means "go" at the traffic light when you have the chance
- other people on the road stare at you
- you feel embarrassed
- in the end, you're still late for school
- register your name in the black book at the counter(sometimes you even need to get a number and wait for your turn)
- reach your class late and everybody stares at you
- they even question you
- *sigh*
- take out your book, look at your friend's book and flip to the respective page and start to daydream while starring back at your teacher
- what goes in one ear, comes out from the other ear. Wait... it doesn't even reach the entrance of your ear
- at the end of the lesson, teacher gives tonnes of homework which you do not know how to do and probably decide to copy your friend's work tomorrow
- the steps are repeated during the other lessons until school ends
- in between, there's reccess time where you eat and chat with your friends for 20 minutes non-stop
- or maybe you need to discuss something with a certain teacher and waste your whole reccess time because 20 minutes is too short
- after school, either you can already see your parent's car waiting at the front gate
- or you just sit down and wait until the moon appears, then only they come
- OR your teacher doesn't allow you to leave the classroom and you miss your transport home
- reach home
- change clothes
- have lunch
- "homework? screw it lah"
- have a shower / watch tv / time to switch on your computer / stupid tuition
- dinner
- start to worry about your homework
- do not know how to do
- spend the whole night thinking
- not even single word is written
- get scolded by parents for procrastinating
- gives up and go straight to bed
- zzzz
- On the next day... you do the same thing over and over again like a factory worker and can't wait for the weekends

This is how i spend my schooldays... how about you?

Here's another way of spending your schoolday

- wakes up very early in the morning
- get dressed and have breakfast on time
- *wakes parents up*
- already have the car key in an everready position
- starts engine and ready to go
- yellow means "slow down and stop" at the traffic light
- get annoyed with people who don't obey the rules on the road
- "!@#$%^&* must be a young driver" (no i don't think women are that bad >.>)
- reaches school even earlier than the sunlight that touches the Earth
- let the mosquito bit you
- study before the lesson starts o_0
- line up outside the class in a straight line together with the other students right after the 7.20 bell and repect the DOA
- pay full attention when the lesson is going on and make own notes
- able to answer every single question even if it is Pn Lim that is asking
- let everybody stare at you with much surprise (0_0)
- spend the whole reccess in the library
- repeated the same learning process after reccess
- revise what the teacher has thought you while waiting for your transport
- complete your homework / tuition / exercise to keep fit / STUDY AGAIN right after lunch until dinner time
- maybe watch tv or something...i dunno i'm not this kind of a person
- go to sleep exactly at 9.00pm
- On the next day, you let me copy your homework T_T

Another way...

- go to school dun give a damn to anything that's happening
- go home sleep / eat / play
